Clinical / Rehabilitation Psychologist:  Mary Free Bed Rehabilitation Hospital invites applications for a full-time staff psychologist position for its inpatient and outpatient programs.  Specific responsibilities include performing psychological assessments, providing psychotherapeutic and behavioral health services, and consulting with other members of rehabilitation teams.  The patient population includes persons with traumatic brain injury, spinal cord injury, stroke and other neurological conditions, with comorbidities ranging from substance abuse to post-traumatic stress disorder.  The successful candidate will join a vibrant service that includes five other psychologists as well as two residents in a postdoctoral training program in clinical neuropsychology. 

Requirements include:  completion of a Doctoral degree in Psychology from an APA- or CPA-approved program, including an APA- or CPA-approved internship, with subsequent formal postdoctoral training.  Prior treatment experience in a health care setting is an essential requirement.  Comfort with the life span from adolescence to older adulthood is strongly preferred, but outstanding candidates with expertise at either end of the spectrum will be considered.  Additional expertise in neuropsychological assessment could be helpful but is not essential for this position.  Preference will be given to candidates who are eligible for immediate licensure in the state of Michigan.
